Terry the Queen of Ski House

It was a very fun night!

25 People and 6 dogs, Merry Christmas!

It was a perfect Christmas Celebration! Christmas Eve was a just the house mates (minus Matt) and we had a tapas and quiche diner with a few nice bottles of wine. Christmas day started off perfect with Carlos and I opening gift my parents sent up to Vermont with us and then a relaxing morning before George and I went off to work. With just the two of us we were totally slammed and had to run our butts off all day. I Got off at around 5pm and came home to a transformed skihouse! Terry and Carlos did an amazing job setting it up for the diner.

I am finding that this work thing is very tiring. I french exited (cluster slang for slipping out of the party with out saying good night to go to sleep) almost every night this past week.

Farkle Farkle Farkle!

So there was
no trip into town to play trivia. Instead we headed to lower level and had a marathon game of Farkle in front of the fire. It was a very close game for last place as Terry, Tyler, ans Scott, all of whom repeatedly farkled out and the big winner was Christen who was a first time player. The Bromley wait staff called it a night by 11:30 while the kids decide to hit the hot tub and continue the party. We were up early as Terry Steve and Carlos headed to Manchester to do a shopping to prep for the Holiday feast and I went to the gym, shift drinks add up on the waist quickly.

Carlos went out with Scott snowshoeing today and had a great time (In the picture above he is sending the dog out so he can change out of his snow suit)

Tonight we are waiting for the arrival of George. Carlos has a baked ham in the oven, and Terry is here on the floor wrapping her gift while I wrap up this blog post.

Lunch Lift Special

Hoping to ward off the Bromley Belly, induced from excessive wine drinking at night and eating fried food everyday for lunch, Terry, Steve, Carlos and I all headed off to the Gym at 7:30 am. After an hours workout we were back home showering and getting ready for day two as a Bore Whore. It was a busy day.. filled with scandals but non that included me... :)

Terry and Carlos made a trip to Manchester and camer home with a new wreath, and as one does we all took are picture in it. Now if anyone can drive we could be going to trivia night at a local hotspot.... tune in tomorrow to find out....

First Day as a Bromley Mtn Employee

Monday December 21

Woke up early and enjoyed a breath taking sun rise over the Green Mountain National Forest. Terry and I reported into work at 9:30am and She was a great trainer, started getting the lay of the land but it was a very quiet day , I served 3 tables and finished up by 2:30, no major events. Carlos had hit Manchester with Stevie and Matt and got the fix'ins for a chicken soup that was the perfect diner. Feeling very tired, I was asleep by 9:30, clearly not the ski house lifestyle we lived 20 years ago when we were NY professionals and parting to 4am.

Arriving At Skihouse

Sunday December 20

After a great family party at my parents, we woke to a 2 foot snow storm, threatening to make me bang in to my first day as a Bromley Mountain. After a few hours or nail biting and snow shoveling by all my nephews, we were able to get out of Brick and start our trek up to VT. Our first stop was Tuxedo to see Mary and enjoy an amazing lunch with Her, KT, and Dwight. We hit no traffic and had a smooth trip pulling into ski house just before 7pm.

We were greeted by Terry, Steve and Matt in a house decked out for Christmas, wine bottles open and a meal to die for, Matt cooked clam chowder and lobster. After the meal it was more wine and lots of chit chat getting me up to speed on the ins and outs of life in Winhall and what to expect when working as a Wild Boar Whore, aka a waiter at the ski stations restaurant!
